The fried chicken plate was pretty good but the Mac and cheese tasted weird there was some type of season or chicken cube used during the process. Overall the owner was super nice and fried chicken was fried to perfection. I loved the juice that was good too.

Upon walking in, the staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and happy to answer all of our questions. The music was lovely, and the overall experience was excellent. We were quoted a 30-minute wait for our food , and it took exactly 30 minutes. For a small business, that level of accuracy and reliability really matters! I ordered the fried chicken, mac and cheese, yams, the complimentary cornbread muffin, and a grape Kool-Aid. I can honestly say Miss/Mrs. Ruby absolutely knocked it out of the park. Ruby's Is i hidden gem in Gastonia NC. The customer service,food, was grade A . One thing I will say it was a little warm inside may want to bump the AC up a little. It wouldn't stop me from driving from Charlotte and dining in again.

From the entering of the door, the welcome is warm and makes you comfortable. The options had me in a limbo but one of the ladies help me decide. I got the pork chop dinner (one smothered and one fried) over rice, with macaroni and cheese and baked beans with a cornbread muffin. Then I got a fried fish sandwich. Mannnnnnn! Everything was goooooooood. I recommend checking this place out and supporting them. I hope they stay consistent with their great customer service and continue growing. This is a great addition to the city of Gastonia.
