Had a great experience at Humble Bee today. My daughter Joy and I both ordered the Basic Burrito, and I added avocado to mine. We also shared a side of potatoes. At first, we were both a little unsure about the potatoes based on how they were cut, but they ended up being fantastic—well-seasoned, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I had a mixed experience at Humble Bee. The place itself is cute and has a nice atmosphere, but the menu is not very extensive. I ordered the squash frittata—it was just alright and honestly lacked flavor. I even asked for salsa because it was pretty bland, but they brought hot sauce instead, and it wasn’t hot at all. One of the waiters was a bit rude and asked me to pull in my chair, which was annoying and unnecessary. On the positive side, our waitress was super sweet and attentive. Absolutely bland and flavorless, me and my friend visited and I wanted to try out their biscuits and gravy. When I tried it out there was absolutely no flavor even after I piled a-lot of salt… and even worse the hot sauce (Theres no flavor or spice). So I tried my friend’s burrito (for redemption) and it was even more tasteless! The eggs were overcooked and bland. First of all, this place is so cute. It’s family-run, and you can really feel that warmth the moment you walk in—sometimes the kids are there too, which just adds to the charm. Tucked into a little strip mall, it has that organic, farm-to-table, neighborhood gem vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
