Adventures Underground is one of the most interesting bookstores in the Tri-Cities because it’s really several stores rolled into one. When you walk in, there’s a kids section immediately off to the right and the checkout area to the left, but that’s only the beginning. The store keeps opening up as you move deeper inside, and before long you’re wandering through aisle after aisle of books, comics, games, records, and collectibles. I stopped by on a whim on the way to get food, and was very glad I did! It looked like a cool local bookstore from the outside, and those are always worth checking out while traveling, but it turns out there's also a full-fledged Friendly Local Gaming Store inside, with all the RPGs, miniature games, board games, and models that come with it, and the comic selection is much closer to a full comics specialty store than a typical bookstore. It’s a great local bookstore! Huge selection of fiction and non fiction, as well as comics. They have board/card games and vinyl records too. It’s fun to thumb through their old cheap second hand records, you can find some gems every now and again. Their staff is friendly, but they are very progressive by Tri-Cities standards, so keep that in mind! I have seen someone lectured/chewed out by the staff for using language they didn’t appreciate. Their prices are in line with a local business. You’ll pay a small premium but I think it’s worth it. The attached coffee shop is a very fun spot to hang
