Amazing food, friendly staff, talented bartenders, and great atmosphere! I recommend parking in the 7/11 plaza if you can't find street parking ($3 for 2 hours and about a 2 minute walk from the restaurant. plus you pass a little candy shop that's worth trying). Its a small place and can get a little busy but it's worth the wait (they will serve you drinks while you wait as well). They have both indoor and outdoor seating. I stayed in town for a week with a friend and we decided to try Vern’s and we absolutely loved it. I had the Papa Lee Knows Best chicken with fingerling potatoes, and my friend ordered a pasta special with clams. Everything was delicious. Behind the bar, Jordan, Ben, and Brian were extremely friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The atmosphere was great and the service was just as good as the food. My friend ordered a French 75 & I got freshly pressed Pineapple juice. I’ll definitely be recommending this restaurant. Love, love, love!

Truly one of the most spectacular dinners I've experienced in Rochester. I was visiting from out of town after moving away over six years ago and a former colleague mentioned Vern's as a spot to check out. They did recommend that I get there a few minutes before they opened to secure a table. I ended up arriving 15 minutes after they opened, and all the tables were already taken! I am beyond thrilled though because I ended up sitting and dining at the bar which was perfection. The bartender was phenomenal, the drinks were delicious, and the food was out of this world. We had the opportunity to sit at the bar while we waited for a table. The bar staff was efficient, the cocktail menu was adventurous, and our drinks were fabulous. Our party of 3 chose a couple of small plates, a pizza, and a pasta for our meal and still had half a pizza to bring home. The standouts were the bucatini with the creamy lemon sauce which I would have eaten on anything and just got lucky it was bucatini. The salad tasted like the first offering of Spring, and we cleaned that bowl fast. Our server Christine was very pleasant and knowledgeable, and food came out surprisingly fast. De
