Overall good food. You can tell it’s a favorite for people because of the crowd. Service was very welcoming, with a very casual atmosphere. You can tell people go for the food. I’ve had Ethiopian food a couple of times and do believe their food is better. My wife got awaze tibs, while I got the special kitfo, a tar tar style dish. My wife’s was wonderful and I’m sure mine was good as well, but I know tar tar is not for me. Bottom line, if you’re interested in trying Ethiopian food, this would be a great experience.

This is my second time coming here, first time by myself and second time with a group of friends, including someone who’s from Ethiopia and knows the owner well. Both times I was thoroughly impressed with how seasoned and unique the dish tasted. I would be cautious for those not used to ordering foreign food and go for the extreme the first time, such as something like ‘seared’ ground beef. There’s also a bakery right next door that you’ll need to order separately, but gosh it’s one of the most delicious desserts you’ll ever have at a very reasonable price. Very disappointing experience. I ordered two custom cakes—an ABC-themed cake and a soccer-themed cake—for about 20 guests. I clearly explained that one cake needed to be vegan and the other regular. However, no one asked me what size I wanted, how many servings were needed for each cake, or explained the final size and cost before preparing the order.
