I did my birthday dinner at Alchemi and had the BEST time. We got the crap and shrimp cakes, the bacon wrapped dates, the lamb ragu, and the New York strip. (And the crème brûlée as a treat!) The dates were creamy and sweet and savory. The shrimp in the shrimp and crab cakes were so tender and perfectly cooked. The ragu and the perfect mix of textures. The steak… the steak was better than mine. And I make a TOP TIER steak at home. I’ve been out steaked! You could taste the quality of everything, down to the olive oil in the chimichurri. Girlfriends and I stopped in for the first time and had a great meal. They have ale cart and a prefixed menu. We went with a couple apps that aren’t pictured - bacon wrapped dates and focaccia and then did the prefixed. Lobster bisque was probably my fav dish. Least fav was probably the focaccia. I just had wine so can’t attest to the other drinks but there is a speakeasy downstairs that requires reservations. It was booked minus a couple spots so plan ahead. Staff was super nice and attentive.

Be still my heart! We decided to check out Alchemi this weekend, and the only regret was not trying it sooner! We had the Wagyu Beef Strudel which was wrapped in a puff filodough pastry that was perfectly slightly crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth, tender inside. Likewise, the chicken tikka with saffron rice hit the spot so well — we used their focaccia bread which they bake in house to clean every last bit of the bowl. Their cocktails were also on point, and can’t wait go back!

Unfortunately, the customer service was subpar- we had a reservation for Valentine’s Day. We received our drinks and everything essentially went down hill from there. The first 2 courses were slow but came out in an acceptable manner. The flavours were good and the food was fresh. Over an hour passed waiting for our entrees until our server told us that they had just served the last steak. We were offered lamb chops as a replacement. We waited for over an hour again at which point I didn’t care whether or not the food was coming out. Eventually we were served our food to go in a take away bag
