I was working at the library and stopped over at Comforts for lunch for the first time. I was a bit confused by the setup when I came in and took a number. The woman at the counter was really helpful in explaining how it works and also some quick options and most popular options. She even gave me a sample of one of the popular dishes which was really nice. I ended up getting the popular chicken salad to go. It was quick and easy and I have to say the food and service were excellent. I definitely plan to come back and try some more food from them.

Their notorious Chinese chicken salad is absolutely amazing, and honestly, they would benefit from selling the dressing online or through DoorDash because parking in downtown San Anselmo during lunchtime can definitely be a challenge. Beyond the salad, there are so many other delicious menu items — the mocha and coffee drinks are excellent, and even the appetizers, like the spring rolls, are consistently great. The service is always polite, efficient, and welcoming, and the bright, relaxing atmosphere makes it such an enjoyable spot to visit.
