I really dig the vibe of Chromatic. It's in a big industrial warehouse-type space, and has a lot of space for seating and just enjoying your coffee and food. The space also has some cool merch, nice music, and various coffee table books on offer for you to read while you relax. The staff were quite friendly, and the coffee and food was delicious. Can't really say I have any complaints. Cool coffee shop with a unique vibe. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the San Jose area!

As an enthusiast of light roasted specialty coffees, i thought this cafe/roaster was good but not great. Their coffees had great descriptions on paper, but when I tasted them, they were brewed to be more heavy in body and sweetness (and resulting slight bitterness) for my taste. Chromatic coffee for the lack of a better word is hip Cafe done right. Of the many Coffee shops that aspire to be in this category, majority of them get everything right, but the coffee. Great third wave coffee roaster. Very knowledgeable staff, and extensive pour over menu. I was disappointed, though, that my pour over was served in a paper cup. Given the caliber of the coffee I would think they'd serve in a carafe with a separate cup for better aeration.
