A good friend came to town and I was looking for a good place to take him for dinner. We walked in, although I would recommend getting a reservation if you know what time you are going to go. I had seen Porterhouse on a local PBS show and was wanting to try. Boy, they did not disappoint! I started with an Old Fashion which the bartender did a great job on. We opened with the carpaccio which was a flavor sensation! I enjoyed the mushroom soup while my friend enjoyed the Romaine Hearts. Both of us had the dry aged porterhouse steaks. We made reservations for Valentine's Day dinner at Porterhouse and overall had a great experience. It was pretty obvious the restaurant had added extra seating to accommodate the holiday crowd, so the space felt a bit crammed and walking room was limited. That said, it didn't take away from the evening. The service was immaculate. Our waitress was extremely kind, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the night. Family Dinner just at end of the year. Most of us had the Caesar salad, two had the French onion soup, a few had the Cowboy Ribeye, with a twice baked potato and sautéed vegetables and one had the Seafood Linguine. Desserts were the Bananas flambe and the Grande Marnier Souffle (which was good but not as good as the bananas flambe) Really good meals, pretty quiet in restaurant and very limited parking on a busy holiday week night.

I was looking for a good steak restaurant and found several options on Google. While there may be other well-known choices, I chose this restaurant because it specializes in porterhouse steak. The porterhouse is dry-aged for 28 days and comes from grain-fed Nebraska beef. I ordered the 20oz dry-aged porterhouse cooked medium. The steak was tender and flavorful, with a rich taste that really stood out after the 28-day dry-aging process.
