We celebrated our Mother’s 94th birthday at Foster. They have the BEST - tastiest, tender, juicy, crunchy - fried chicken in Long Island and New York City😋😋😋!!! Their mashed potatoes tasted good also. So did the bokchoy. Our Mother was satisfied with her Salmon and my husband enjoyed his Spaghetti with meatballs. Ms. Casey was nice and attentive. So was her lady colleague.

Good idea, OVERLOADED execution. Way too much flavor in sweet/salty of everything we ate. Chef needs to Scale It Back!! Waitress was lovely and attentive. Rest of staff was either lovely or clumsy. Marrow was good but had pockets of sweet jam that overloaded the marrow completely. Pheasant…great touch! My first time eating and was a perfect bird, whiter than duck, darker than chicken, but was a bit of a wrestle off the bone. The wood fired steak was cooked perfectly rare but the string fries….cooked exactly to order which is a rarity for well done. Cocktails: fig gin-too sweet. Plum/chamomi

This meal was one of my most memorable of the year. We sat at the chef’s counter, which allows you to see the chef in action. There is also a communal table in the center of the dining room and an enclosed patio area. The place was packed on a Saturday night and the energy was buzzing. We were there at prime dinner time so the wait times were long(ish) but totally worth it. We loved the wine selection and creative cocktails. I visit this reastaurant in happy hour. Inside so beautiful ,music not so loud and everyone look very polite. I sit at the bar,food was really good and drinks too. I will definitely come back.
