If you’re in a rush but willing to make a quick pit stop for some caffeine, the Monorail Espresso lives up to its name. It’s literally a window where you can order and step down to retrieve and prepare your own coffee. Absolutely love the concept, especially when trying to minimize distractions while on the road, better said, sidewalk. I can’t say that the coffee itself was very special.

Today, I was at Seattle Convention Center for an event. I walked outside looking for a coffee stand. Hoping to get a chai drink. I saw the Monorail Coffee stand attached to the building. The two staff members who worked there were welcoming and kind. I asked what brand Chai they used, Rishi they said. I hadn't tried it before, so I ordered it. Too my surprise, it was spicy and tastey! My sister had the white mocha and she loved the flavor of the coffee. We chatted with the barista's and they told us the history of Monorail Coffee. They have 5 locations! This local gem needs more exposure. L

My friends from abroad were visiting Seattle and they asked me to take them to some of the best coffee spots in Seattle other than Starbucks. As I know for sure Monorail Espresso is known as one of the popular coffee spots in Seattle, I decided to bring them here. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing.
