I’ve been here a few times, and it’s a straight-up, dead-center 5 out of 10. No love, no hate, just food on a plate. You won’t gag, but you won’t write home about it either. Thirty seconds after you step back onto Avenue U, the only thing you’ll know for sure is that you’re not hungry anymore. No joy, no regret. Just full. The waitstaff moves like they’ve got places to be, and the guy who took my payment had that rare, almost mythical quality—he actually seemed to like his job. Prices? Reasonable in the way that getting punched in the gut is better than getting punched in the face. The food?
