Dr. Conkey's is fun. So much more heart than most other coffee shops. The thing that they really do well is flavored beans. In general, I prefer a single source estate bean: Guatemala, Ethiopian, something like that. I find flavored beans kind of flat and, ironically, flavorless. But whatever Dr. Conkey's does, whatever their process is, they pack in so much more flavor than any other coffee shop I have ever been to. We love this place it's so warm cozy and the employees are friendly. We love the old fashioned style and all of the boutique items they sell. Just a really pleasant environment. They have good bulk candy to choose from and lots of old-fashioned candies as well. We love to sit and enjoy hot chocolate or nice chai latte. They also have chocolate truffles and other chocolate treats in a refrigerated case.

My drink is never consistent. Which is weird because the blender cup has line markings and then they use a scale. However, I usually go buy candy when getting a drink but this time I didn't so I stood and there and now I know why my drink is always hit or miss. The two workers were chatting while working (great! make day go by faster), but the one making mine didn't even look at what she was doing, just at her coworker. She didn't give me a full shot of what I paid extra for. She grabbed the milk and just dumped without even looking. She looked for the weight of the ice cream but of course th
