State 48 is a family friendly restaurant and brewery offering wood fired pizzas, burgers, salads, and more. They have a friendly and welcoming staff and a lively atmosphere. They offer a great variety of quality craft beers. I must say they have one of the best happy hours specials I’ve seen in a long time. Everyday from 2pm-6pm they offer $4 house wines, well drinks, and drafts. In addition to their happy hour they offer a daily special. Kids eat free on Wednesdays! All of their burgers are 1/2 pound black angus beef. I ordered the mushroom truffle burger, and boy was that burger delicious!

State 48 feels like three great bars and restaurants in one. There’s a cozy, tucked-away bar hidden behind the barrels with premium cocktails, a spacious indoor dining area connected to an indoor/outdoor bar, and a dog- and kid-friendly patio on the other side. We tried two of the three spaces and loved both. Outside, we ordered the Nachos, Rodeo Burger, Cubano Burger, a Beyond Rodeo Burger (no bacon), and a Beyond Royal with Cheese, each served with crispy beer-battered fries. I really wanted to like this place. Our server was nice, the restaurant atmosphere is good, exactly what you would expect from a brewery type restaurant. However, the food was not good. This is now the second time we have gone there and the food has not impressed. First time, the fish and chips were burnt to a crisp. We had to send them back. Went back and gave them another chance, ordered a burger this time. The burger had a very weird taste to it, almost like the meat was old or something. I couldn’t even eat it.
