I am a sucker when it comes to teppan and I like Benihana. I was told the Shogun has a similar vibe and so I went to this one to check it out. The food was not bad, the service was great, and atmosphere was similar to Benihana...the show, however, needs to be better, like much better...because it was pitiful, at best. I am not there for the show as this is a food review, but the show is part of the charm of Shogun. I am already being generous here by giving this a 4 stars. OMG - they really need to work on their cooking shows - seriously lacking here.

Terrible service from start to finish. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was immediately cold and dismissive, offering no greeting or basic courtesy. Throughout our meal, she spent much of her time talking and laughing with her boyfriend, who was seated just a couple of stools away, while paying very little attention to her customers. Even after we thanked her, she never acknowledged us with a simple “you’re welcome.” We repeatedly had to ask for basic items such as utensils, soy sauce, and other necessities that should have been anticipated during service. I recently visited Shogun Restaurant and honestly had a really fun and memorable experience. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming, energetic, and entertaining. The restaurant was clean, nicely decorated, and had that classic hibachi-style environment that makes dining feel more like an experience than just a meal. One of the biggest highlights was definitely the chef performance.
