This place is delicious. The tortillas are all handmade, and it honestly reminds me of my tías cooking or the tacos your parents would buy you outside of church (iykyk). The carne asada tastes fresh and perfectly grilled, and the chicken is nicely seasoned. The drinks are just as good. They’re well made and perfectly balanced. Our go-to and favorite taco shop in town! Everything is sooooo good here, my husband and I come to Taco Chelo at least once a week, and he can have 7 tacos at a time because they are too good! Everything here is so good, even the chicken tacos are good(we are not big fans of chicken), but their chicken tacos here are not bland, full of flavor, and tender. We recommend Taco Chelo to every friend who visits us, and they all love it! Definitely worth coming here for tacos!

This place looks too bougie to be authentic but then you walk in and see the abuela making tortillas and you get hope. Then you realize the music is a playlist crafted by the abuelo and straight outta Sonora. The tacos come and you realize you’ll never judge a book by its cover again. This place is legit. The Sonoran taco comes on a homemade flour tortilla and it’s perfect. The tortilla is translucent and it melts in your mouth. The fish taco is stacked with pickled onions on lightly fried fish with a crispy contrast. The salsa is hot. I want to live here. Please adopt me.
