This gem still holds up after so many years of coming here. My mom took me soon after it opened and we had chilaquiles for the first time and now I'm an adult and my partner (who is Mexican) begs me to take her every now and then. Still always get the chilaquiles on the patio.

My family and I come here way too often. We love it and have our go to items we go to. Chilaquiles with carnitas and a sunny side up egg, tacos de cecina (serranos are hot), pozole/menudo (my wife’s go to). Favorite brunch/breakfast spot in Orange County! The staff has always been friendly and checks in if we need anything. We have two kids so they accommodated high chairs when we’ve needed it. When you arrive just know that you’ll be told where to sit so you can’t save seats.

This is a very nice cafe, whether you’re sitting outside or inside, both provide equally great aesthetics. For the food, I wish the salsa provided with the burritos was spicy, even just a little. I understand restaurants can’t make their salsa actually spicy for specific people but if salsa is provided I would appreciate it to have some spice. On the other hand the pozole was super tasty! The chips provided were the perfect side and had really good flavor.
