I am extremely disappointed with the service I received last night from what used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Tyler. I usually dine in and have always had good experiences, but last night I decided to place an online order instead — and unfortunately, that turned out to be a huge mistake. I visited a few weeks back and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The biggest issue was the service. Our server, Maddie, seemed to have an attitude throughout our entire visit and acted like waiting on us was an inconvenience. At one point, my wife walked by the server area on her way to the restroom and overheard our server speaking negatively about several of her tables. My husband and I ate dinner there tonight(Father’s Day). We eat there or Mercado’s fairly often and love their food. I ordered a choose 3…1 cheese enchiladas, 1 bean chalupa and pork tamale. The tamale had sour cream sauce on top of it. The sour cream was ruined. I couldn’t eat the tamale or the grilled veggies that were beside it because the sour cream sauce was all over them. We immediately told our waiter and he offered to bring me something else (chimichanga) but the ticket got lost and I brought it home after he had to reorder it. My husband got beef fajitas.
