Went here many years ago and it was great... Not so anymore. We were looking for a quick bite before heading to the ocean. There was this place and another and we decided on here. No mention of it being a buffet on the outside, so we went in. The people seemed short and not very friendly. The place seems dirty and the ceiling tiles are in desperate need of replacement. Then came the food, or rather the "buffet." When you think buffet, you would think major choices. Nope! We visited the Waffle House for breakfast for the first time. Parking was free for customers, which was a plus, and the staff seemed friendly. However, the food and overall experience left a lot to be desired. The buffet is priced at $21.99 for adults but looked pretty mediocre, so we opted to order from the menu instead. My husband got a skillet that wasn’t even hot and, unfortunately, looked and tasted quite sad. I had the eggs Benedict, which was decent, though the hollandaise sauce was bland and lacked flavor. The music was great, the service was ok, and the food was fine... but the price was outrageous! They didn't have a very large buffet, and it had powdered eggs and turkey hot dogs for the "turkey sausage", and mushy potatoes, and then charged us $22 per person. There was no price listed anywhere, no sign for the price, and no one offered us a price verbally for this buffet. It was not nearly worth that price at all. Awesome breakfast spot with lunch available as well. A huge and scrumptious buffet available ,Darlene was a darling and very knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended a great choice of crabcake sandwiches that were absolutely wonderful. I have already came back and got my second sandwich!
