Rooted Coffee (Walnut Creek, CA) Rooted Coffee is the kind of place where you come in for “just a drink” and somehow leave with toast, waffles, and donuts. The Avocado Dream Toast (cashew cream cheese, hemp seeds, chili flakes) was fresh, creamy, and had the perfect little kick. The Kind and Nutty waffle with added chocolate chips was warm, comforting, and honestly hard to share. We also grabbed a glazed chocolate donut and a cinnamon sugar donut—both simple, classic, and exactly what you want them to be. The iced mocha with oat milk was smooth, not overly sweet, and finished way too fast.

This is my absolute favorite coffee shop! Both of their locations have a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The service is amazing and most of the time my order gets completed super quickly. They have a wide variety of delicious foods and coffee to choose from. I highly recommend the Lavender Matcha Latte, Cardamon Maple Latte, and avocado toast.
