Had a wonderful dinner experience sitting at the bar. Austin was the bartender and he was wonderful. He recommended the oysters and they were outstanding. The braised beef was like a slow cooked and tender short rib. It was delicious and paired well with a celery root purée. The vibe was great with live piano music too! I couldn’t have had a better experience for my first time visiting.

Tavern on Camac is one of my favorite Philly bars. There's live piano many nights, and the performers are on-point. On the second floor, you'll usually find DJs. My recommendation? Swing by for a happy hour cocktail, and enjoy the music. Bring friends (I do!). Or meet some (I have!). No cover, so you've got money for booze. I salute the bartenders for keeping me happy - shout-out to Austin - and managing a crowd. Credit accepted.

We read some mixed reviews, but decided to give it a try and glad we did. The food was all fantastic and the staff were friendly and attentive. Jason was our waiter and he made sure our drinks were kept full and made some great suggestions on what to order. The atmosphere was cozy and we would most certainly come back again.

I used to love TOC as recently as this past April. I thought it was a cool & safe space for gay men to meet each other. I was wrong to think it's safe. One evening after I spent almost 100 dollars, I went to use the restroom. The only ones open were on the 3rd floor, so I went up. A bouncer violently grabbed my wrist before I could reach the restroom, while I was intoxicated and vulnerable & threw me by my arm down the stairs. The action happened with so much violent force that it damaged the soft tissue in my shoulder, leaving me with a permanent injury I will have for the rest of my life. T
