Tried this place for the first time and it did not disappoint! Truly amazing atmosphere and menu, and prices are reasonable for the grilled cheese sandwich quality! Ordering is easy through their kiosk screens, and you can customize what’s on your sandwich. They do get packed during peak hours, they even started running out of bread later on. Highly recommend this place, it’s amazing!

This place has out of this world grilled cheeses. The prices are high just like everywhere else in DC. But I was so satisfied with what I ate! I recommend making combinations of sandwiches. I combined a southern cheesesteak I believe with buffalo chicken. Other people have customized a cheese sandwich into a patty melt. They're happy hour drinks are also spectacularly priced!

I ordered from GCDC Grilled Cheese Bar via DoorDash and unfortunately this was my first time trying them and it was a bad first impression. I didn’t even eat the sandwich. After opening it, the cheese was clearly overcooked grainy and separated instead of melted and smooth. It didn’t look fresh or properly prepared, so I chose not to eat it at all. For a place that specializes in grilled cheese, this was disappointing. I ended up requesting a refund through DoorDash. Definitely not the first impression you want from a place known for grilled cheese.

Such a fun places for comfort food meets foodie. They were so accommodating to our celiac teen and everyone else in our party. We ate there 3 times during our week in DC. Treasure to have something so delicious and inclusively welcoming to food allergies. We look forward to coming back every time we visit the area.
