This place has great ambiance and is reminiscent of prohibition underground bars. The artwork on the walls makes it a walk down memory lane. (I took pictures of SCOTUS members, see below.) See which of the charactures you can recognize from a distance! Service was exceptionally slow, limited menu options, and the drinks are waaaay overpriced. That said, you're paying for a unique bar in downtown DC. Enjoy!

What a wonderful atmosphere! It's so peaceful and professional, and it's just a short walk to the White House. Even though there aren't many tourists, this spot feels perfect for locals. You'll notice lots of fun political puns everywhere. Whether you're into politics or not, you'll find something to enjoy here. It's definitely a great place to soak in the full essence of DC.

My favorite bar in DC hands down. Staff is always attentive, drinks are excellent, and the atmosphere is high class but welcoming. The food is pretty good too. I come here every time I’m in DC. You cannot go wrong here. As an aside, the hotel staff that greet you before getting to the bar are also excellent. Very kind, professional, always get the doors for us, etc.
