We went there for Mother's Day. O-m-gosh, it took forever to get our food. They need more waitresses, the Horchata was water down, but the Jamaica was delicious! They had a beautiful photo backdrop, but it was hard to take a pic because it was next to a table. We were given beautiful keychains, as our HMD gifts, which was sweet!

I ordered the #35 Jumbo Shrimp Sampler — crispy breaded shrimp wrapped in bacon, served with rice, beans, and a buttery dipping sauce that’s addictive. My cousin got the #30 Carne Asada Steak and Shrimp, perfectly seasoned and super tender. We started with chips & salsa (fresh and flavorful), and shared a plate of Super Nachos with Carnitas — cheesy, loaded, and definitely big enough for two. The website says Las Palmas Cafe was established in 1964. I remember it being there same location in the mid 1950’s when I was a little kid. We lived on nearby realty street. The same take out window is still there. The wet beef tacos was and is still great. Excellent beef tamales too.
