I recently visited McDonald's and had the full “authentic” experience… and by authentic, I mean I think the dining room has been in a long-term relationship with spilled soda and abandoned fries. The tables? Sticky enough to qualify as flypaper. The floor? A modern art piece made entirely of ketchup footprints and crushed nuggets. I’m pretty sure one of the chairs made a noise when I sat down, and not in a normal chair way—more like it was asking for help. But don’t worry—they’ve got their priorities straight. We just went the drive through line at 5:35pm on June 7th for drinks and got treated like we are uneducated for not knowing what a refresher is. We asked "What is a refresher?" The worker went on about the flavors but we wanted to know what the drink consists of. So she answers "its a refresher." We wanted to know what type of drink it is not the flavors. So she told us to wait and when the other worker came back after putting us on hold she rudely said "What was that?" Update November 2005 : They apparently cannot be bothered to maintain their bathroom . And their employees have yet to figure out how to properly wash their hands with soap, running water and dry them off before leaving the rest restroom . Since the dawn of the kiosk, the employees here spend more time chatting with each other and looking at their phones, then they do paying attention to the people standing at the counter or in the restaurant. Stopped by McDonald’s in Oregon City (Store #12065) for a quick fudge sundae. I used the self-check-in kiosk to order, which worked just fine—quick and easy. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives mostly ended. The sundae came with no napkins, and when I asked, I was told to grab them near the fountain area. That area had no napkins available and was overwhelmed by an incredibly strong and unpleasant odor. I was honestly relieved I hadn’t ordered a drink.
