I was looking for an intimate place to be quiet from the busy hot day. It started with the ensalada with Cacio e Pepe dressing and a cocktail of Amaretto on the rocks. Montesacro was a great place to have a solo dinner. I sat at the bar. The staff is friendly and service is quick. I ordered the Carbonara and Tiramisu, both were amazing. I also had a glass of Pinot Noir. I’ve had better, but it was fine overall. When I dine alone, I like to read a book. The noise volume was conducive to doing so.

Walked in on a Friday night and was seated immediately. The people after us were offered seats at the bar while they waited for a table, so I would say get there earlier if you don’t set a reservation. My friends and I ordered a bowl of cacio e pepe and each got a pizza to split. The casal bertone was everyone’s favorite! The perfect combo of flavors combined with that crispy guanciale (don’t let this scare you away if you’re not used to it) had us all wanting more. The infernetto was okay, nothing spectacular honestly but still good to me. A tougher sauce critic at the table rated it lower.
