We searched for a good food restaurant in Wilson as we planned to visit the Wilson Whirligig and we found The Whole Truth Lunchroom with good reviews and the sign $10-20 so we bookmarked and went for lunch today. The restaurant with minimum decoration but gave a very homey atmosphere, lovely people working there from the 2 ladies at the counter to pick the food (who were very patient with me as I didn’t really know what to order), to the second counter with a very nice young man to chose your drink and the helpful and lovely lady cashier. Want food for the soul? Here's the little tuck in a quiet corner next to the Church and managed by its members. You can't get more southern than this one. Had Trout and Fried chicken, both crispy out and moisture in. Side, Okra and Collard Green the best I had. I'm not a fan of Okra but this one didn't disappoint. Good hardworking folks dedicated to serving the best food for the community. Note it operates 3 days a week and lunch only.

1st time there today and loved it, word alone can't describe the fried chicken and the orka was like what my Mom and, Granny fixed. The mustard greens were so good I got a to go place with double greens and a quart of orka on the side. My sister tasted it and didn't stop until it was gone. I did get a big bowl of orka so lm happy. I'm planning on going back next week.So if you want great food and friendly service give them a try.
