I visited Chapon during my recent trip to Samarkand and was quite impressed by the restaurant’s ambiance, especially the beautiful lighting and the warm welcome from the friendly staff. I had manti, the traditional Uzbek dumplings, and shashlik, the Uzbek skewered meat dish, and both were very good. The strawberry mojito that accompanied my lunch was refreshing and enjoyable. The service was warm and attentive throughout. The washroom décor deserves a special mention, as it was very unique and sophisticated. The wall décor reflecting the cultural elements of Samarkand was also stylish and well done. Overall, my experience at Chapón was delightful.

Absolutely amazing restaurant! The environment is very comfortable and relaxing. All the dishes are fresh, and the grilled meat is incredibly delicious. We had visited the place earlier for lunch and absolutely loved the ambience, service, and food. We decided to return for dinner on a Friday night. However, when we arrived, the lady at the counter asked if we had a reservation—which we didn’t. What struck us as odd was that, instead of checking for any available options, she immediately said they were fully booked. She then added, I saw you just came from the bar across the way—you can go back there with a very dirty and arrogant attitude . It felt dismissive and left us with a disappointing impression, especially considering how much we had enjoyed our first visit.

We’ve been to the best trip advisor rated restaurants in Samarkand like Samarkand and Emirhan and were kind of disappointed. Hands down Chapon was the highlight of our trip. Amazing food, service and vibes. Wish we found this earlier and didn’t end up in the tourist trappy places. 100% recommend for anyone travelling here. Update: came here a second time. Fantastic again. Everything. Waiter Bobur was top notch with his recommendations.
