Lúa Nêp is a good restaurant, good service and beautiful view of the river. We were here few years ago and the restaurant expanded since. Their food and service are excellent like the first time we were there. We have coʻm chái and thįt kho and it was amazing combination. We also ordered fried fish and it was very good too. For all of that and a Tiger beer for around $13 USD.

Visisted with a friend lives in Can Tho. This place caters to tourists and large groups, but it was also bustling with locals and domestic travelers. The fried elephant ear fish—a Mekong Delta staple—was on a whole different level here. I was also impressed by the delicious local small-fish dishes. Despite being a large-scale venue, the service was attentive and the food quality was excellent, so you don't need to worry about the typical "big restaurant" downsides. Tips for your visit: Reservations: Recommended if you want a table right by the river. The View: The Mekong isn't exactly "crystal clear," so it’s more about soaking in the river's atmosphere than a pristine view. With its lively vibe and even a park-like space for kids, this feels like a true Can Tho landmark. Highly recommended for families too! Don't miss the 'Cha Ca' (fish cakes) coated in young green rice. It’s an easily overlooked menu item, but it was absolutely delicious and well worth trying!

Nhà Hàng Lúa Nếp is a fantastic spot with a great riverside location and lively atmosphere. The menu offers excellent variety with plenty of choice, and everything we tried was well prepared. One of the highlights is how family-friendly it is — there are activities and a playground for kids, which makes it ideal for families. The live music added a really nice vibe to the evening and made it feel relaxed and social. We did call during the day to book and were advised it wasn’t necessary, however on arrival we ended up waiting around 45 minutes for a table. That said, the staff were great throughout — friendly, apologetic, and doing their best in a very busy setting. Overall, a great experience and well worth visiting. Just be prepared for a wait during peak times, or book ahead if possible.

RIVERSIDE DELIGHT Lua Nep in Can Tho offers a pleasant dining experience by the river. The food is decent and tasty, with well-prepared dishes that are enjoyable without being overcomplicated. Proper Vietnamese place with no European tourists but families and lots of tour groups coming in. the main place is like a HUGE Polynesian open sided meeting house. Other places along banks of river. Fans, clean toilets. Good service Liberal use of Google translate (other apps are available) and we had a top meal. Ice cold Tiger beer – we had the tiny shrimp salad with lotus and the yellow flower (din din I think) which was delicious, buffalo with garlic shoots incredible and fried catfish which was a tad dry but delicious with the fish sauce and some egg fried rice. Meal for kings and we loved it – Get involved!!
