Very good food at a reasonable price. The service was good, although we sometimes had to look for someone because the staff were chatting with each other and another customer. It didn't really bother us, but it might feel a bit more professional if those conversations took place away from the dining area. Other than that, everyone was very friendly, and we had a great time!

Conveniently located in a shopping complex where you find Harare's biggest curio shops, Chop Chop does bring a sophisticated Southern African style open kitchen, wide blue lit bar, and woody walls and furniture It has a vibrant ambience with a loud background fink music. The selection of the music doesn't seem to have a genre flow and doesn't speak to the ambience. The African themed furniture and internal decoration do give it a calming effect. However, there are very few tables for individual guests. Maybe it would've been better to join tables as groups come in who need to be seated together. It appears, from what I observed, that most customers who came in were either from shopping or were passersby. They came individually. There is a designated smoking area outside on the porch. However, this was used to host a big group, and as a result, those who wanted to smoke were scattered in the porch area. Service was excellent, curt, and efficient. I had dindin here on Saturday. I wanted a quiet intimate space since I was having dinner by myself – I’m happy the atmosphere did not disappoint. I noted down a few things that I wanted to address. Firstly, I felt like they gave me the condiments too early, considering that the ketchup was poured in an open saucer (great concept btw because you can really limit any wastages and ration out the ketchup which can help you budget more effectively). I’m happy I didn’t have to wait too long for my food though, I was quite impressed by the speed at which I was served. However, I didn’t like the plating. It was as if my burger and fries were fighting (you can see it in the picture), there was just too much empty space. The fries were hot and crispy but a bit bland. I found the burger a bit dry, I think the patty needs to be juicer + they could add some sauces on it. The swiss army knife they gave me was definitely unnecessary lol, a normal knife would suffice. We had a good time and nice music 🎶 best place to go with family non smoking zone 👌 plenty free secured parking.
