James Lu★★★★★Came here for a nice Chinese lunch before visiting the Adelaide Central Markets. The prices were very reasonable, the dumpling fillings weren’t the standard fare and I rather liked that. Being used to the standard Northern Chinese dumplings, it was nice to try something new. The restaurant staff were very attentive and quick to help. Ordering at the counter was quick and easy. It doesn’t purport to be a 3 hat restaurant, but the food is certainly good. Nice and authentic, and very unpretentious.
Langid★★★★★Picked this place because it was the only restaurant open late in Chinatown. Service was super quick, and the dumplings were good: perfectly crispy on the outside with a juicy, flavorful filling. The fried rice was also really tasty. Great late-night option.
A Lees★Hands down the worst dumplings and steamed pork buns I’ve ever had. The cooked meals were slightly better — we ordered the sweet and sour pork and the lamb noodles. Communication at the counter was difficult, as the lady spoke very little English and I had to repeat myself several times. That said, the waitress was lovely and very accommodating.
Mei Mei★Cooked in low quality reused seed oil for the customers. When I asked the waitress why the dishes were dirty she quickly took it and swapped with the dishes to next table instead of took them away. The food is rich in low quality source with frozen canned vegetables instead of fresh.
