Strong 9.5/10 experience all round here. Went here for a company lunch but would absolutely return for private dining! We had a set course menu and the creativity throughout the menu was impressive - particularly the surprisingly good Vegemite gougere appetiser. The set menu was very disappointing. To serve an entree that is just onion dip with lettuce radish and cucumber…it was a very disappointing dish and lacked in flavour. The Vegemite puff was too salty. The beef tartare was ok, but it would taste better without chips, and better if each piece was a bit larger for more chew. The lamb was actually alright. The dessert wasn’t anything special, and just very ordinary. The lettuce salad was way too salty. Too many potatoes, which although had a nice crunch, was also too salty! Had the set menu and it was disappointing for the price of $95. Agree with another reviewer that it feels like at that price point you should be getting more, with the first two courses feeling like vegetables and dip. The sourdough bread was very good, but the only highlight of the courses which is concerning. The lamb main was gamey, and had large portions of fat. The plating was also difficult and inconvenient to share within large groups, as none of it was individually served besides dessert. Dessert was mediocre and lacklustre.
