I was under the false impression the lofty heights of the chicken schnitzel and mayo sandwich at Bread Sandwich Bar could not be conquered. But now the cataracts have been blasted from my eyes. I visited CBD Bakery when they took part in the Baking for Brain Cancer even. Each pie sold contributed $1 to the cause, which made the experience even more meaningful. I had a meat pie. It was absolutely delicious — the crust was perfectly flaky, and the filling was rich and comforting. It felt like the kindness of the staff was baked into the pie. It warmed not just my body, but my heart.I imagine they must have baked many pies with great care for this special day. The staff were kind, and the atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming. I’m so glad I stopped by — I’ll be back to try more!

We were in next building and we went here as it looks like gem. No frills simple bakery serving different pastries, cakes, but more importantly piping hot pies. We tried the traditional meat pie and the pepper steak ones. Between us we preferred the traditional ones. Prices were reasonable and coffee was great! Do come before lunch time as it can get quite packed during lunch.
