Visited this brunch café near Novotel Melbourne Central, and they offer a wide selection for both breakfast and lunch, with noticeably generous portion sizes. We ordered the steak and salmon. Unfortunately, both were overcooked, which made them a really dry and tough. The steak would benefit from a richer, more balanced gravy, and the salmon could use a more generous amount of sauce to enhance moisture and flavour. Also, the vegetables on the side are tough as well🥹 On a positive note, the fries were a highlight — perfectly crunchy and well-seasoned. As for the drinks, the matcha combinatio

We had a very enjoyable brunch at Golden Mug. The iced drinks were a particular fave, we had the iced taro and the iced peanut butter latte which were both very tasty. I also really enjoyed the pancakes which were well cooked and had a lovely Biscoff and fruit topping. They weren’t sickly sweet or dry like many café pancakes often are, but rather just some well cooked, classic homestyle pancakes and came with a generous amount of ice cream. My friend enjoyed the grilled salmon too, but was not her favourite either. The rest of the menu looked really good too. There was a lot of choice and it

Came here to avoid the crazy brunch crowds nearby and honestly such a good find. Food was simple but really solid — loved the Golden Mug special roll and the Eggs Royal (sauce was amazing). The feta fries were super addictive too. Drinks were a highlight, especially the orange espresso and coconut matcha from their Golden Cloud series. Nothing too fancy, but comfortable, good food, and worth a visit 👍

Tucked away in Melbourne CBD is this cosy café that truly surprised us Unassuming from the outside, but serving up delicious, solid dishes inside. What we ordered: 🐔 Chicken Schnitzel 🧆 Falafel Salad 🥣 Acai Bowl 🍟 Bowl of Chips ⚫️ Black Sesame Latte 🫖 Chai Latte ☕️ Cappuccino & Babychino Everything hit the spot. The falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and moist inside, the schnitzel was well-seasoned, and the acai bowl wasn’t overly sweet, just right. Quality comfort food done well. Bonus points for the loveliest staff 💛 Definitely pop in and say hello if you’re nearby.
