Vahid Shahani★★★★★Sherlock Holmes Bar ★★★★★ A classic, cosy spot in the heart of the city with that timeless old world charm, perfect for a relaxed evening. 🕯️🍺✨ What we loved: • Chicken Schnitzel — perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside. 🍗 • Lovely drinks — well-made, refreshing, and a great match for the atmosphere. 🍹 • Warm, welcoming staff and a comfortable, laid back vibe. Tip: Great choice for an easy lunch or dinner and drinks after work or a casual night out. A dependable Collins Street favourite with great food, lovely drinks, and a welcoming feel. Highly recommended. ★★★★★
Christine Brandt★★★★★Decided to check this place out for the first time with a friend. This pub is a great place to visit, with an english feel about it. It is downstairs, under ground. Good range of meals on offer. The prices were quite reasonable. The staff were very friendly. A couple of tv screens which were on. Was quite a few seats available in the place, with quite a few people in there at the time we were there. The meals we had were very good. Tried the Berry and Rhurbarb Compote, was nice but could of done with a little more sugar in it as the rhubarb had been a little tarty. Well worth a visit.
Dale Alexander★★★★★Popped in for a meal as the upstairs Dr. Watsons was closed. Nice setting and in the words of Billy Joel, it was a pretty good crowd for a Saturday. Two of us both opted to buy from the specials board as were craving vegetables and they both had plenty. I had a pint of the Sullivan's stout just to enhance the experience. A pub hidden in the city, worth a visit.
Richard★★★★★What an absolute gem of a pub. Had a quick dinner here, starting with Scotch Eggs, which were authentic and oh so tasty. (Gooey egg inside and VERY tasty tomato sauce. 5 stars just for that!) The Cumberland sausages and mash were delicious with just the right amount of mushy peas. Crumbed pork with mushroom gravy as a choice was huge and satisfied a hungry traveller. Felt like I was back in Old Blighty, and DEFINITELY worth seeking out if you want some great comfort food. Staff also excellent and friendly. Loved it!!
