I recently photographed a micro wedding at The Beach Hotel in Merewether, and it was such a great spot for a relaxed coastal celebration. We had a private space at the top of the venue with a balcony, which gave the whole afternoon a really nice, intimate feel while still having that classic Newcastle beach atmosphere. From a photographer’s point of view, it worked really well. The balcony, ocean air and laid-back venue feel gave everything a relaxed, natural energy, and being so close to the beach meant there were plenty of options for portraits nearby without making the day feel complicated

We stopped by Beach Hotel Newcastle for lunch and had a great experience. The food was fresh, well presented, and very tasty, with generous portions and a good variety on the menu. The beachside location makes it a great spot for a relaxed lunch, and the atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Service was quick and staff were polite and helpful. There is some parking available at the back of the hotel, but it’s usually full, so it’s best to look for parking in the nearby streets. Overall, a great place for lunch when you’re in Newcastle. We’d definitely come back again!

Been wanted to come here for a long time. Finally my sister and brother in law have taken me here. Fantastic views of the beach and coast. We decided to have lunch here. I had the cerviche which was great, one of the best I've had. Beer selection was good. All food & bev staff were nice and friendly. I'll be coming back.

Great renovation, footprint still feel small though. Food was average as the calamari was previously frozen and chewy. Hotel was clean and attracted many patrons on the outdoor terrace. Car parking is difficult on those hot beach days.
