Good food and service; fall short of great due to a couple of misses: • Upon arrival, they couldn’t locate our booking and nearly gave away our table to walks-in • papadums we ordered during browsing the menu came after a while, cold & soft (cheerfully replaced when flagged) • drinks tools a very long time to arrive (it was a Friday dinner service but not overly busy) Overall a good fusion and twist on Indian classics; cocktail menu looked promising. Went to Sauma last night in Northbridge. Looked great, great decor, fabulous staff and service, but the food let it down a little. We ordered the beef samosa which was very nice and well presented. Then we ordered the kingfish fish wing only to have the waiter come back and apologise as was unavailable. We had auntie g's chicken curry, basmati rice, raita and garlic naan. Simply Wonderful! Kitchen still open at 9Pm for late trade and what a wonderful meal with nice selection of WA seafood! Tip: garlic nan a must! Squid is nice. Shame scallops were burned but otherwise very nice meal. I shall return! Waitress Yumi was friendly and offered good insights into the menu. Very happy.

The starters were okay onions bahjis and green chicken tikka. Had AuntyGs curry, it was okay. Nothing standout. Poppadoms tasted cheap and thin (more than they are meant to) and the naan bread was pretty soft I'm not sure if it's the style but a first time for me. I didn't enjoy or dislike any particular aspect of this meal, it was just meh. Food was expensive for what it was regardless of its prime position in nor
