I appreciate the versatile menu and options, the great spacious seating, and efficient online ordering system. The food was average however and quite pricey for what you get, but it’s expected. You don’t come to the zoo to eat a quality meal.

Had to wait 40 minutes to get my coffee from the coffee pick up counter. When ordered I was told there would be a 10 minute wait. I was okay with that as there was an electricity interruption. After 15 minutes I went and asked, then I was told that I’d be called to wait. After 30 minutes went back to ask about my coffee. The person serving was extremely rude and said there was no order placed by me. Then I showed her my Netbank where the money has gone. After another few minutes handed me a Luke warm coffee, which was disguising. The food in the cafe and the service there was good.

4/10. The 'FISH & CHIPS' here were so terrible that I am considering giving Apollo Bay Brewhouse a 7/10. The 'FISH & CHIPS' had such a heavy, thick layer of batter that it gave a very doughy texture that took away from the crispiness of the batter. The fish here was obviously not as fresh, but it was also not as well-cooked - more dry and less tender. The tartare sauce was thicker and heavier, and the fries were also under-seasoned. I came back here twice because I love their food. I have pasta, calamari, cheese burger and chips. Everything is on point except calamari is overcooked. 😁😁😁 will come back next time to try more foods.
