We went to Frites Atelier purely based on the amazing Google reviews — and fair warning, you need patience to eat here. It’s almost always busy. We ended up standing in line for over an hour, then waited another 30 minutes to place our order and finally get seated. Once inside, though, it all made sense. We tried 4 out of the 6 fries on the menu and 2 croquettes. Honestly, no complaints at all — everything lived up to the hype. The clear standout was the basil parmesan fries, especially the sauce. Interestingly, fries apparently are considered a full meal in Belgium. And of course me and my friend A absolutely had to try them to check what is so special about these Belgian fries. Frites Atelier didn't disappoint our expectations at all, on the contrary, it went above and beyond. The Indo Peanut fries we shared were perfect, slightly crunchy on the outside, soft and perfectly purèe-ish on the inside. Additionally, the saucy topping was quite interesting, with curry, crumbled peanuts and fried onions. Maybe I wouldn't consider it a full meal, but we were absolutely satisfied.

Fries so good, we visited this place twice. I would really recommend the one with Flemish beef stew, although my wife liked the one with parmesan and basil more. The beer selection is small but good, especially when paired with the fries. This is the only food place that we visited twice during our trip and that's saying something. Of course it's "touristy", but it's still very good. Best fries we tried in Belgium (world?).

This was our absolute favourite place in Brussels, we were there everyday 😂 their frites were the best ones we've ever had. It was a few minutes away from the center but so worth the walk. The portion of their normal fries includes 2 sauces which is self service and for €5.95, the portion size was great. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was quite quick even at peak times. There's plenty of seats inside and out. On our last day, we had to squeeze in a final visit before we made our way to the train station. Still dreaming of their frites to this day 😍 their serviettes ha
