The Schenke was authentic and delicious. My husband is from Germany and claims this is the closest authentic German meal he’s had since moving here a few years ago (we are always on the lookout for German or Eastern European spots). Not only are the dishes authentic, but everything was delicious and portions satisfactory. Goulash Soup, Feldsalat Salad, Pork Hock and Sauerbraten. The service was attentive and quick and the space was interesting and recognizably German. We live in Toronto but will definitely be finding any excuse to come out this way to eat at The Schenke again!

Now this is a real German experience! While on a road trip my dad said he had a craving for schnitzel and I knew that Kitchener area would have something but I did not expect to stumble across this absolute gem. Staff was super friendly, food was amazing and they even had some of their Oktoberfest seasonal “Concordia Bräu” left. I think if I’m ever missing Nürnberg I might have to take a drive here because it really feels like a slice of south Germany right here in Canada. Vielen Dank!

Wonderful german food with historical surroundings. Concordia club is a true KW gem, it has roots dating back to 1873, it is a local European staple. Their Octoberfest celebrations are legendary. We stopped by to check out dining offerings and we weren't disappointed. Our starters, the goulash and borscht soups were both delicious. The schnitzel and the pork hock were perfectly prepared and the meat was moist and tender. The accompanying potatoes and red cabbage were the icing on the cake. We will definitely return to check out their other offerings.

Came for World Cup 2026 watch party and loved it. Intimate, fun great service and new friends. I have loved this place since the first time I came in the 80's and will come back whenever I'm in town. What a great place.
