One of the best second cup in downtown Ottawa! This Second cup has a very nice atmosphere, well decorated, and pretty quiet with good music, it really does not give off the vibe of “fast-food chain” like other locations/branches does. I’d for sure come here again and again for the cafe’s environment, however to be fair, Second cup is Second cup, the food and drinks taste pretty much the same like what you’d get from others ones in the chain. Good location, plus the barista was also super nice and kind with customers so definitely another plus point.

Second Cup is not specifically disappointing, but it does not stack up well compared to the local coffee shops in Centretown. Compared to the Starbucks and Tim Horton's at the same intersection, it is probably the best of the three. My wife and I got a chai latte, a cortado, and a sandwich. The sandwich was fine, nothing wrong there but not amazing. The cortado was mediocre, and the chai latte was, too. The gentlemen behind the counter were nice, no problems with them.

This particular branch of The Second Cup provides an exceptional customer experience. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who engaged in friendly conversation. The establishment sources its coffee from Costa Rica and roasts it locally in Canada. We savored a delightful Chi Latte and a refreshing Peppermint Macchiato. Despite a steady stream of customers, the ambiance remained relaxed and conducive to unwinding and enjoying our beverages.
