There's a reason why the Commodore restaurant has been a round for 75+ years now. No frills. Just great food. Pies to die for. And a rare glimpse to the olden times of Edmonton. Best experienced sans mobile phones. Taking in the music and watching life as it happens on Japser Ave. PS: The servers were amazing. And they take credit card now so no change no worries.

Roxy the waitress is always great! David prepares good food. Today I had the cheeseburger and pan fries. Homemade burger. Yum! I only go in sporadically however this little gem is fun and I finally sat at the counter on a diner stool, which reminds me of childhood diners. David played Herbie Hancock ( jazz) when I was there today. So cool.

Today we went to the Commodore Restaurant downtown. It is a family owned business of 83 years young 🙂. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. It is just like homemade cooking. The portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. I have attached the menu with prices and our total bill too. The atmosphere was cozy, and the waitress was incredibly friendly. Great spot.

The hostess was incredibly friendly and attentive, setting the tone for a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the corned beef with cabbage, and it came with a warm bowl of noodle soup that was just perfect. The corned beef was unbelievably soft, fresh, and flavorful, cooked to perfecti
