Their Eggs Benedicts are the real standout, perfectly poached eggs with that rich, velvety hollandaise that just melts into every bite. I had a great experience at Eggspectation in Kanata! Even though the restaurant was completely full, the service was outstanding from start to finish. The team was attentive, friendly, and impressively efficient despite how busy it was. You could really tell they care about their guests. The food was absolutely delicious. Very disappointing experience. Visiting Ottawa for the weekend and was not far from Kanata, so we decided to call ahead for take out and eat at our hotel. The chicken and waffle portion is a joke with 3 small pieces of chicken. Two of them look more like half pieces. I really was in shock when I opened the box, given all the glowing reviews. Then the other issue was with prices. I didn’t notice until we got back to the hotel that each dish we ordered were $2-3 higher than the prices both on their website and from google map photos from as recent as 4 months ago. It was busy for a Sunday morning which is to be expected but we were seated quickly, within five minutes. The Eggs Benedict was fantastic and the classic breakfast was great. Everything came out at the perfect temperature with thick slices of ham and beautifully runny yolks. When it comes to the All - American Classic, the home fries were a pleasant surprise, a different shape than you usually see, well seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The bacon was thick and crisp but still had a nice chew. I’ll definitely be back to try their pancakes and waffles.
