I don’t write reviews often but I feel I need to after an epic night at Watchman’s on 17th in Calgary. Used to have a couple of draughts now and again when I lived here, but the place has been transformed with exceptional service and entertainment. Once in a while you meet servers that take their job seriously and have the skill to make each customer feel special. If you’re looking for them their names are Mallsha and Alex. Such a fun and welcoming atmosphere! I have genuinely never been to a pub this friendly, welcoming and “at home” feeling before. I really mean it. Service was so friendly that it’s like you were talking to a friend, and their karaoke nights are some of the most fun I’ve ever had out with friends. The atmosphere is so welcoming that this is the first time I’ve ever actively sung at a karaoke night. There is no sense of judgement or awkwardness at all. Everyone goes up, does their thing, and the cheering afterwards is so warm! Absolutely my favourite pub in the city by far and I highly recommend

Fantastic environment. Super chill and the staff feels local and personal. Willing to chat and get along while still maintaining great professionalism. Capable and well-informed. Haven’t tried the food, I guess next time. But I love the laid-back, local vibes this place gives!
