Solid 2 out of 10 but was an astounding 9.5 if you're 8 years old. Highlight was the 1980 era computer behind the counter. Kids said it was quote "super good food". What did you like best kids? Ice cream, fries and pop. How about the "sour pork"? Eeeeh. Fried chicken? Didn't try that either. Dad confirmed the soda was fizzy and fries were salty. Ice cream was sweet and gritty. California roll was spicy? Baby tried a couple of the dishes and then christened the bathroom with his own sour poop. Enjoyed the interesting clientele filtering through. Thanks to Uncle Willy’s catering, I had a great time with my friends and family. I always felt so overwhelmed when my turn has come to host people. I was so busy at the end of the year, so I gave it a try to visit uncle willy’s. The owner was super helpful to accommodate my situation, communication was clear, and the food was prepared on time. I invited around 25 people, and ordered 7 kinds of menus including Fried Chicken, Lasagna, Sour pork, and Beef with gravy sauce. Everything was great! The portion was huge enough to cover 30 ppl. Recommend!

I basically tried a little of everything during our "dining experience" The cabbage rolls were undercooked, and had hardly any filling, the chicken was dry and no where near as good as it was when this place first opened. I don’t think this place deserves the current 3.2 star rating. This is a fixture of Vancouver food history, that had 14 locations during their prime. I would hate to see it disappear. My parents and even grandparents used to take us here when we were little and I decided to bring my kids here to try it out. They had a blast 🤣 It’s not fine dining, but it is still a fun place to bring the family. I’d say the food is consistent from what I remember as a kid, some items aren’t for me, but I’d say I could find an enjoyable meal from 80-90% of the choices. Notable items I liked: fried chic
