I’m happy I made the trip across the bridge for this family-owned restaurant! Walking in feels like entering a cozy Midwestern diner off a two-lane highway—and then you’re hit with warm Filipino hospitality and amazing food. We ordered a tapsilog (with beef) and then a silog with lechon kiwali (pork), bangus (milkfish), and lumpia (spring rolls). The breakfast was fantastic… but the desserts were even better!!! The ube flan was amazing and the cashew sans rival was unbelievable. I literally haven’t had a cake that good in ages. Highly highly recommend this Queensborough Filipino restaurant!

We were craving a Filipino breakfast so we came to this little mom and pop Filipino restaurant. No fancy aesthetic decorations— just some super cute chalkboard menus and Filipino trinkets that make you feel like you’re at your Tita’s house. We each ordered a 3 meat silog (w/ garlic fried rice and 2 over easy eggs). It was delicious and just enough to leave room for their famous Sans Rival cake. Jano and the rest of the staff were very friendly, accommodating and were quick to clear dishes and top up drinks. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a yummy traditional Filipino breakfast

Had an awesome family meal at Epic Silogs! The food was delicious and honestly reminded us so much of a home-cooked meal, very comforting and nostalgic. It really brought back great memories while sharing good food together. Definitely a spot we’ll keep coming back to. Highly recommend if you’re craving authentic Filipino comfort food!

This Filipino breakfast rice dish was quite interesting — it had a nice garlic aroma, and the rice was firmer and more separated compared to typical Asian-style rice. The crispy pork belly could use a bit more frying to make the fat crispier and less greasy. The shrimp was tasty, but the scrambled eggs weren’t the style we expected, but it is good. Since the drink isn’t included, the price feels slightly high. Overall, though, if you’ve never tried rice plate for breakfast, this Filipino take is worth a try.
