Le Mathi's was right at the end of the street where we stayed in Beziers, France, and I'm now disappointed that we didn't eat here before our last day in this charming city. The plates were beautifully presented, the flavors complex and sublime. "Shockingly delicious" for such an unassuming environment and such friendly, welcoming service.

Great food for the style of restaurant but truly terrible service with the forgetful and sullen staff just going through the motions and barely concealing their contempt for our small group. We did honestly try to be pleasant but they clearly didn't much like the cut of our jib and punished us for it.

Great city centre location, however the food was quite average. Opted for one of the specials, not sure how the day menu or other options compared. Buzzing spot at lunchtime so maybe just made the wrong choice.
