A great evening meal at Les Droles restaurant. They have 2 servings, 7.15pm and 9.15pm and you MUST book to guarantee a table. Very small menu but delicious. We started off with fois gras and egg mayonnaise, followed by by swordfish and beef parmentier, creme brulee and creme citron. Set price E25. Excellent!

We had the duck foie gras as a starter, very delicious and perfectly seasoned. The bread crust is quite hard though, so be careful not to break your teeth. For the mains, we ordered the shepherd’s pie and the duck breast. Both were excellent. For the duck breast, if you’re not French or you don’t like seeing traces of blood, make sure to mention it in advance. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which was superb. The staff are nice and friendly, and the vibe is very cozy, especially in autumn and winter, as the main dining area is underground.

My friends and I stumbled upon this restaurant and we had the best dinner experience in Bordeaux. You get an appetizer, entree and dessert for €25. The drinks were affordable too. The two guys working there were so nice and welcoming to us (Americans), and we really appreciated our server’s kindness. The shepard’s pie and duck entrees were absolutely incredible, the soup appetizer was so fresh and flavorful, and the creme brûlée was phenomenal. We highly recommend this place!!

We had a fantastic meal here. The set dinner is great value for money and the dishes are well-executed with good portion sizes. Loved the soup, and the veal and rice was excellent. The duck breast was a little tough though.
