We've been wanting to try Herzstück out for a while; we finally made it and weren't disappointed. We'll definitely be back when it is warmer so we can sit outside and enjoy the great Frankonian Tapas and people watch on the old cobblestone ways in Erlangen. We got a selection of tapas and were most impressed with the potatoes and dip. Some other selections were a bit more average, but there was definitely something for everyone. The atmosphere is very modern, bright, and enjoyable. Hip, but not in overdrive to scare old people like us. Make sure you get a reservation.

Whether for breakfast or brunch, this is a perfect place with attentive staff and great food, including many vegetarian options. Familie with younger kids are welcome, children's corner and high chairs available. Ample parking is available at the nearby Theater parking lot (2 min walk) or the Kaufland/E-Werk parking lot (5 min walk). Make sure to book your table in advance and to try the Shakshuka, it was delicious!

With a group we ate inside on at a reserved table, and shared plates. Baked small potatoes, carrots, meatballs, fish in steam packets, bread, and I think lamb. Good service, good timing, very good food. Would return.
