The setting of Boathouse Alster is beautiful. The restaurant on the boat is stylishly designed, the lighting creates a very pleasant atmosphere, and the acoustics are surprisingly good. Everything was clean, and the host at the entrance was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the service did not match the level one would expect at this price point. While the staff were friendly, they appeared largely untrained and lacked the necessary knowledge. Bootshaus Alster is an extremely elegant restaurant with a high-standard, romantic atmosphere and a wonderfully cosy vibe. Dining here feels truly special from the moment you arrive. We shared the Überraschung Sushi Platter for two, and it was sooooo delicious—beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. Every bite was a delight. Located on a boat on the Alster, the setting is simply stunning and adds a unique charm to the whole experience. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend Bootshaus Alster for a romantic evening or a special occasion. A must go restaurant.❤️

I had a truly amazing experience at Bootshaus Alster, on the water, in Hamburg. The restaurant staff, including our server, were very nice and accommodating. I requested to have my sushi made a certain way and they came through with flying colors. They made it exactly how I wanted it with no issues. Other places have told me no. Aside from the great service and food, we were treated to an awesome view the Binnenalster. This place is really AMAZING.
